Consoles are small cabinets that go underneath a wall TV. You can buy consoles made especially for TVs or convert an existing piece of furniture. Use a retro buffet for a funky room. Distress a low dresser with sandpaper and white paint for a shabby chic feeling. Consoles can also hide electronics and store DVDs. Consoles ground a wall TV. Electronics look the same but consoles add color and a theme to the wall.
Hide your plasma wall TV when it is in plain sight so it does not distract from your decor. Cover it with a sliding screen.
